Our CEO and Founder, Emma Cantrell, receives an MBE
for 'services to vulnerable children and people'
Emma says:
"We don’t do this work for recognition, but if more people like me - rebellious Do Gooders - can be recognised in this way then that would be brilliant for the communities we serve.
Despite the very difficult circumstances we find ourselves in during a cost of living crisis, and a funding crisis for the small charity sector, we continue to work hard to help as many families as we can."

At First Days we give choice, restore dignity and empower families who are living with a low income or are experiencing financial hardship.
We believe that all children should:
be safe in their home, and out about. They should be confident in school.
They should have lots of fun.
We help facilitate that. We offer peer support and one to one coaching to parents, whilst providing everyday essentials for children who need them. We distribute school uniforms, new baby essentials, beds and bedding, travel equipment, toiletries, safety items, furniture, toys and books and much more.
The current cost of living crisis, coupled with the long term effects of the pandemic has resulted in a huge increase in the demand for our services.
Help us continue to support families in our community, today:
