At First Days we want to access the best advice, expertise and experience to help us develop our work. We are a charity, but we don’t like that word. We want First Days to look, feel and act like a business, the only difference is that we reinvest our profits for social gain.
We know that your time is precious to you, and that being tied in to a charity as a trustee might seem like a life sentence rather than a chance to help in a meaningful way. So instead, we are looking for people to join our board as Special Advisors. This might be for a one off project, for a couple of months or for us to call on as and when we need your expertise.
We are currently looking a Special Advisors who is a top class leader, for leadership guidance and mentoring.
If you can offer some time, with no need for long term commitment, then please contact Emma - - to discuss how we can work together.
We are looking for a trustee with financial experience, preferably an accountant, to take on the role of the Treasurer of the charity. This role requires you to attend five trustee meetings a year, help the charity’s finance manager compile the annual reports and support the staff team in making sure that all our financial reporting and systems are fit for purpose. First Days is a rapidly expanding, energetic and exciting organisation to be a part of. If you’d like more information about becoming a trustee then please contact Emma -
We are also looking for trustees who have experience of working in leadership in the third sector, if you want to see charities held to the same high standards as businesses, you want to see First Days grow to help more people living in poverty and you are keen to be part of an exciting growing charity then I want to hear from you.
